we hav jis finished our midsem exams n our final pracs begin at d end of this month.its not fair! and not to mention how horribly i'v fared...
i'm still finding my way thru the book "city of joy".it is filled with stories of sadness.but in this sea of misery r ppl who really work hard to fill their stomachs... and their simple joys and sources of inspiration.it is difficult to believe that people do lead such lives but it is true.
anyway... have to finish it.

life has unfortunately become too much of a routine off late... need ideas of how to get rid of the monotony...
hope to blog more often..
and i've done miserably in my exams...

i finished reading the book 'five point someone' yesterday.simply hilarious. the feelings portrayed are quite realistic.i mean these three guys are amazing friends... their misunderstandings, their faults...how they tackle them, and sometimes how different their actual feelings are as compared to what they say.
this is how 'hari' describes a senior who came to rag him on the first day of college... "another senior,to my nervous eye, looked like a demon from cheap mythological tv shows- six feet tall, over a hundred kilos, dark, hairy, and huge teeth that were ten years late meeting an orthodontist!"
anyway next on list is "city of joy" , a book i've been dying to read since i was in the 10th standard.finally i've got my hands on the book.
sheena's class was a lotta fun today. she saw this friend of hers walking along the corridor through the window and she RAN to the door with her sari palu flowing behind her and she was all excited and screamed "hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!"
this not only sent all of us in class into a state of shock but also must have scared her friend outa her wits!by the way sheena greeted this friend of hers it looked like they hadnt met for centuries!
after making us wait 4 3 hours for her class she took class only for half an hr and gave the rest of the class free.the other half an hour went in listening to sanju, megha and annie bray...

Feb. 4th, 2005 @ 12:48 pm %#$@*
nisrin and sanju said something very thought provoking the other day... NO INTERNET = NO LIFE. quite true i'd say...cuz all of us seem to be in this phase where we either dont have the time to log in or our wonderful computers seem to be DEAD.(i speak for myself)
and d last few days have just gone in trying to get to all d newspaper offices and give them the internship letters.i wud LUV to work with the hindu.man they have an amazing office but what is more appealing is that their city editor was very polite and nice and WANTED us to learn and benefit out of this internship. jis hav to get in ther... (fingers crossed)
meanwhile my keyboard classes finally started...not a very exciting first day cuz i had to learn d very basics ALL OVER AGAIN.i told him i'v played the keyboard 4 3 years but he told me to b patient.humph!
anyway...im damn hungry so will go and catch a bite!
About this Entry
Jan. 26th, 2005 @ 12:41 pm are we responsible?
Current Mood: calm
just a passing thought...
how responsible are we? a general misconception is that we tend to be REQUIRED to be more responsible when our shoulders are burdened with rules to follow and things like that.for example... ur parent gives u some money and you know he/she is going to ask you,a few days later, to account for it or give him/her d details of how exactly u spent it.since you know u r goin to b asked this u feel u will spend it wisely (unless u lie to ur parents...)
now think of this...wat if ur parent doesn't tend to ask u this question bcuz they TRUST u.ur parent knows u will not spend unwisely or for unnecessary things.isn't it a bigger responsibility now... to spend wisely?
my point is that we are required to b more responsible when we are given the freedom.on one hand everybody cribs about how their parents 'control' them.but are we in a position to handle the freedom?do we think we can take decisions which we will not regret taking later in life?

classes held today were BORING.except 4 d 'teachers evaluation form'. one man on everybody's hitlist...wonder wat d outcome is gona b.the highlight of the day was when sanju and me (partners in crime) took sherin's cell and sent some 'not so nice' msgs to her friend tess... who was totally scandalized! finally sherin had to call up d poor gal n confess dat she had some 'dutty' friends who wer up to no gud.to top it all... at the end of this hilarious ordeal... ANNIE blames it all on sharanya!
